Bonus Poker Deluxe at Springbok: one award for every four of a kind
Bonus Poker Deluxe at Springbok is Jacks or Better with a much bigger four-of-a-kind award and a smaller two-pair award. Any four of a kind, from four 2s to four Aces, pays 75 coins on a 1-coin bet and 375 on 5 coins, while two pair pays no more than a pair of Jacks.
Mobile · 18+ · no bonus needed
It deals one hand at a time for R0.05 to R25.00 and plays in the mobile lobby. Video poker sits outside Springbok's bonus wagering, so play it from cash with no bonus active.

How Bonus Poker Deluxe plays at Springbok
Each deal gives you five cards and none of them is wild. You mark the cards worth keeping, draw once, and every discard is replaced before the final five are scored against the table on screen. The smallest win is a pair of Jacks or better; a pair of 10s or anything lower returns nothing. Lobby reading · 9 Oct 2026 (opens the source)
Two settings come before the deal. The coin value runs from R0.05 to R5.00, and you bet 1 to 5 of those coins, so the cheapest hand costs R0.05 and the dearest R25.00. The hand selector offers a single hand and nothing more.
A win opens an optional Double or Nothing round. The dealer turns over a card and you pick one of your own: if yours is higher, the win doubles; if it is lower, the win is gone. Collecting instead keeps the amount exactly as the pay table printed it, and nothing on the screen requires you to gamble.

Bonus Poker Deluxe pay table: where it differs
Put Springbok's Bonus Poker Deluxe beside its plain Jacks or Better machine and only four rows change. At 1 coin:
- Four of a kind pays 75 instead of 25.
- Full house pays 8 instead of 6.
- Flush pays 6 instead of 5.
- Two pair pays 1 instead of 2.
That trade is the character of the game. Two pair is a common hand and four of a kind is a rare one, so this table moves part of what it pays out away from a hand you see often and into a hand you see seldom. Expect a choppier session than Jacks or Better at the same stake.
| Machine | Four of a kind | 4 Aces | Full House | Flush | Two Pair |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jacks or Better | 25 | not on this pay table | 6 | 5 | 2 |
| Bonus Poker | not on this pay table | 75 | 8 | 5 | 2 |
| Bonus Poker Deluxe | 75 | not on this pay table | 8 | 6 | 1 |
Springbok's Bonus Poker sits between the two. It keeps two pair at 2 but splits its quads by rank, with four Aces at 75 and a row whose on-screen label needs the caveat its own page gives. The Deluxe version drops the split altogether, so no rank is worth chasing harder than another.
The royal flush behaves as it does on most machines in the lobby: 250 coins at 1 coin, 4,000 at 5 coins, which is more than five times as much and carries the plus mark in the pay-table viewer at the top of this page. Bet fewer than 5 coins and that extra is gone. If 5 coins at your usual coin value feels too dear, a lower coin value at full coins keeps the bigger royal award.
Against published versions: Wizard of Odds lists several Bonus Poker Deluxe tables. One shares Springbok's full house and flush pays (8 and 6) but pays a little more for four of a kind than Springbok's screen shows. Springbok's exact table is not on that list, so charts built for the published one are a close guide rather than a perfect fit. How to read a pay table, column by column covers why small row changes matter.
Bonus Poker Deluxe strategy: holds that trim the house edge
Sound holds shrink the share of each bet the house keeps; they never remove it, and no hold makes a session pay. Within that limit, a few Jacks or Better habits need adjusting for this table. The points below come from published analysis of Bonus Poker Deluxe, listed in the sources, applied to a table that differs slightly from Springbok's.
- Two pair is still kept whole. Even at even money, both pairs plus a one-card draw at the full house beat breaking them up. A Las Vegas Advisor column on this game answers a dealt pair of Kings with a pair of 4s exactly that way: hold the two pair.
- No rank deserves special treatment. Every four of a kind pays the same here, so the Aces-first instincts that matter on Bonus Poker or Double Bonus Poker do nothing. Three 2s are as good a quad draw as three Aces.
- Four-card inside straights are kept more often. Las Vegas Advisor's analysis works through several close calls and, in each, holds the four-card inside straight in Bonus Poker Deluxe more often than a Jacks or Better chart would.
- Ace-Jack offsuit is not automatic. In Jacks or Better an unsuited Ace and Jack are kept together. The same analysis finds hands in this game where a lone Jack is the better hold.
Those exceptions are fine margins, so get the plain holds right first. For a chart matched to Springbok's rows, the Wizard of Odds Video Poker Strategy Maker lets you enter or modify a pay table; copy the 5-coin column from the viewer at the top of this page. The method behind ranked hold lists is set out in video poker strategy basics.
Stakes, practice mode and where it plays
The table pays in coins, so what a win means in rand depends on the coin value. Pick any value from R0.05 to R5.00 in the viewer's Show pays as setting and every row converts on the spot.
Plan a session the other way round: settle the total you are willing to spend, then pick the coin value that lets it cover a few hundred hands at full coins. Hands take seconds, so an evening's budget can disappear in minutes at the top setting. The stakes table on the home page shows the cost per hand and per hundred hands at each coin value.
Bonus Poker Deluxe plays in the mobile lobby. When this site opened the video poker room from a desktop browser on 9 October 2026, the lobby showed a notice that Flash had been retired and that the games carry on in the mobile version, which is where this pay table was read. For rehearsal, Try It! on the game's tile starts a fun-money session (R1,000.00 when the table was read), so the holds above can be practised before a real stake goes in. There is more on how Springbok's practice mode works in a separate guide.
If sessions start running longer or costing more than you meant, the responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help.

Questions players ask
Does two pair pay in Bonus Poker Deluxe at Springbok?
Yes, but only 1 coin for each coin bet, the same as a pair of Jacks or better. Springbok's Jacks or Better pays 2 for two pair; this machine moves that value into its larger four-of-a-kind award.
Do four Aces pay more than other quads in Bonus Poker Deluxe?
No. Springbok's screen has a single four-of-a-kind row paying 75 coins at 1 coin and 375 at 5 coins, whatever the rank. If you want a premium for Aces, machines such as Bonus Poker and Double Bonus Poker pay one.
Can I clear a Springbok bonus by playing Bonus Poker Deluxe?
No. Springbok's wagering clause names slots and a short list of other games, and video poker is left off it. Hands dealt here before a bonus is fully wagered put that bonus, and anything won with it, at risk of being voided, so keep this machine for a balance with nothing attached.
Can I play Bonus Poker Deluxe on a computer?
Plan on a phone instead. On 9 October 2026 Springbok's desktop lobby answered video poker with a notice that Flash has been retired and that these games remain available on mobile. The mobile client is also where the pay table on this page was read.
What is the payout percentage of Bonus Poker Deluxe at Springbok?
Springbok does not publish one, and neither the game screen nor its help page shows one. Pay Table Room leaves it at that rather than estimating. The table tells you what each hand pays, never how often it lands.
